The Auditor's Office is in charge of the County's accounting department, vehicle and vessel licensing, maintenance of ownership records for billions of dollars of property in Skagit County, and most importantly, all county elections. I've worked hard over the last three and a half years to improve the efficiency, transparency, and performance of the County Auditor's office and we've been tremendously successful!

Skagit County's elections have never been more secure. In the last three years I have made significant enhancements to the physical and technical security of our election office. To improve the speed of election results, I also invested federal grant money in new ballot processing equipment, which can now process thousands of ballots per hour, significantly decreasing the time it takes to get results on election night. And our ballot tabulation system is NEVER connected to the internet, so there is no chance of counts being manipulated by outside bad actors. I'm by far the most qualified candidate to keep our elections free from fraud. I have proudly held the designation of Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) for over 20 years, demonstrating I am an expert in both fraud prevention and detection. I have also studied cybersecurity for over 15 years and partner with our Washington Secretary of State's Security Operations Center and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to ensure that our elections are safe, secure, and adhere to all WA State election laws.

I've been endorsed by many other County elected officials and by both Democrats and Republicans—including current Secretary of State Steve Hobbs.
