Sandy Perkins was elected in 2018 to the position of Skagit County Auditor. Sandy, who lives in Anacortes with her husband, children and grandchildren, has over 25 years’ experience as an auditor and fraud investigator. She has been a Certified Fraud Examiner since 2002 and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Economic Crime Investigation. Over the last 25 years, Sandy has worked with various types of businesses, implementing internal controls to minimize the risk of fraud. Sandy’s background and experience is particularly important as the Auditor oversees Accounting, Elections, Licensing and Recording Departments for the County.

Sandy is a past president of the Skagit Elder Alliance and has educated local residents about the risks of elder abuse and financial exploitation of elders by holding informational meetings at local libraries, senior centers and civic group meetings. Sandy also served on the Board of Skagit Women’s Alliance and Network (SWAN).
